We can help you with:

Foot & Ankle Bracing
Molded Plastic/Leather Ankle GauntletGreat for painful ankle and subtalar arthritis, posterior tibial and peroneal tendinitis, or an acquired flatfoot deformity.   Available in black or tan; tall or short; standard or sulcus length footplate; laces, Velcro® or a combination of both.

Thermoplastic AFO’s –
Fabricated and finished so you can fit it as soon as you get it.  Styles available include: solid ankle with or without padded anterior shell, posterior foot drop, CROW, short-articulated
AFO, articulated dorsi-assist, articulated AFO’s with your choice of joints.  All AFO’s can be lined and fabricated with or without a custom footbed.

Custom Foot Orthoses

Accommodative – Soft Plastazote®/Poron® orthoses for low-demand patients who need extra cushion.
Semi-rigid – Multiple combinations available.  We use EVA, cork, Poron® and offer several trilaminates.  Can be configured to treat everything from plantar fasciitis and metatarsalgia to arthritis and diabetic ulcers.
UCBL – Fabricated of copolymer polypropylene to provide rigid support for a flexible flatfoot, posterior tibial tendinitis or midfoot/hindfoot arthritis.
Viscoelastic Polymer – Gel can be placed into a foot orthosis anywhere your patient needs additional shock absorption, attenuation or cushion.  Excellent for relieving pain associated with plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, shin splints and metatarsal head calluses.

Shoe Modifications

Heel and/or Sole Elevations – Heel and/or sole elevations are done to compensate for limb length discrepancies.  In most cases, we will remove the original outsole, add the lift and then replace the original outsole for cosmetics.  We will also match the color of the outsole/midsole as closely as possible.
Relast – For severe midfoot and hindfoot deformities, patient acceptance of - and compliance with - this modification is much better than the alternative of custom shoes.   Please include either a weight-bearing tracing of the foot or a foam impression with the shoe.
Flares and Wedges – Wedges are excellent for correcting flexible deformities like pes planus.  Use a flare for a rigid deformity like a stiff varus hindfoot.
Stabilizers – Used to control longstanding or severe deformities such as Stage III or IV posterior tibial tendon dysfunction or a severe varus hindfoot or ankle deformity.
Velcro® ConversionChange your patient’s favorite tie shoes to Velcro®.  We are happy to do either straps or a quarter-piece for a more cosmetically-pleasing look.
Lace-to-Toe ConversionThis modification makes for very easy donning and doffing of shoe – especially for your Charcot patients or those who use a molded AFO.

Six types of Rocker Soles

Mild Rocker – Offloads forefoot and eases ambulation by providing toe rock and mild heel rock.  Mild rocker is useful for decreasing forefoot pressure in people with diabetic neuropathy, metatarsalgia or hallux rigidus.
Heel-to-Toe Rocker – More aggressive than the mild rocker.  Provides more offloading and is very good for replacing motion lost due to ankle fusion or use of a solid ankle AFO.
Toe-Only Rocker – Good choice for increased forefoot and toe offloading for the patient with balance and/or proprioception issues.  Provides a more stable base of support than the heel-to-toe rocker.
Double-Rocker – The double rocker sole is the best selection for decreasing pressure in the midfoot area.  Use for patients with Charcot midfoot prominences or that cavus foot with a painful 5th metatarsal base.
Negative Heel Rocker – Great forefoot unloading, some midfoot relief.  Remember…patient must have adequate ankle ROM to use this rocker!
Severe Angle Rocker – Best forefoot offloading, but not as easy to ambulate as mild or heel-to-toe rocker.
