Lead by it's president and CEO, Dennis Janisse, NPS and its staff have been providing pedorthic education for the past 25 years all over the world from academic presentations at universities to programs presented in NPS facilities. 

National Pedorthic Services is proud to be able to offer the Therapeutic Shoe Fitter Course as the first step in helping you obtain certified fitter status. This course has been approved by the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) as a primary education course.

It has also been approved for up to eight (8) continuing education credits through the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC). (Full participation is required to be eligible for the full amount of credits).

An ABC certified fitter of therapeutic shoes is an individual trained and qualified in the provision of non-custom therapeutic shoes and non-custom diabetic multi-density inserts. A certified fitter of therapeutic shoes is competent to practice within the scope of non-custom therapeutic footwear only.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then this course is for you!

National Pedorthic Services (NPS) is pleased to offer this one-of-a-kind, hands-on shoe modification course. Throughout this three day course you will see dozens of common and complex modifications demonstrated on a variety of different shoe types. You will also have the opportunity to learn and perfect the modification techniques. Because each class will be limited to 12 participants, you receive significant one-on-one instruction. While there will be classroom presentations, the majority of this course will be hands-on and take place in NPS’ working shoe modification lab instead of a classroom setting.
